Fireworks

Sara and Tim are avid surfers and mountain bikers.
They ride the Lake to Lake race every year-Lake Erie to Lake Ontario.

The ceremony took place in the Oakes Foyer of the Fallsview Sheraton Hotel.

Sara and Jen, her matron of honour.  The view of the falls from the bridal suite.
You can just see a bit of the rainbow to the left of Jen.

Our baby, all grown up.

Tim with Wade, his best man.
Tim spots Sara ....

Sara and her dad, Patrick.
The processional was the theme music to "Endless Summer".

Sara and her dad and I.
To the left of Patrick is Tim's sister, Kathy and her husband Steve.
Just in front of Patrick is Tim's brother, Terry and his wife Rachel.

End of Hawaiian sand ceremony.

Sara's friend Rachel, an opera singer, sang a beautiful solo during the signing of the register.

Mr. and Mrs. Timothy James Lee.
The recessional was "I've Put a Spell on You.".

The reception was just across the hall in the Oakes Ballroom,
a beautiful venue that was split into three;
the first being the martini bar, the second the dance floor and dining tables,
the third was the magnificent buffet.
It was a veritable groaning board.

Sara and her new family.
Tim's mum, brothers, sisters and their spouses and children.
Two of Tim's siblings celebrated their silver (25th) wedding anniversaries this year.
Sister Kim in pale green at front and her husband Jim, second from right at the back.
Brother Mike and his wife Sue,  first and second on the far left.

From the right:  Patrick's brother, Dick; Donna, Dick's friend; Patrick's brother, Joe.

I think I was saying "Get me out of here!".

The cake!
At the Stag and Doe everything was " Simpsons'" themed.
It carried over into the wedding.
Instead of clinking glasses for the couple to kiss,
a walk to the microphone and a Simpsons' quote was the order of the day.

Tim's friend, Brett, was an awesome master of ceremonies.

Outdoors in Niagara Falls with the mist behind them.
Wade and Jen are Sara and Tim's very good friends.
They were with them when they became engaged last year in British Columbia.

On the buses...
My dad was a double-decker bus driver in England.

They were still cutting the rug at 1 a.m.
The last two tunes were by The Pogues and
Spirit of the West.
I could have watched Jen dancing an Irish jig all night long.
She floated above the ground - a lovely ethereal sight.

Thank you to everyone who made this such a special day.
I'm sure there were many names that I missed when I presented my speech.
I have warm thoughts of you all.

Cheers!

The music playing is "Ebb Tide"

Sara and Tim met, by design, at the beach.

When Sara was very small, we used to call her Sara Lee.
Who would have thought that all these years later, she really is!
